you sound exactly like a rabidly ableist neurotypical when you hate yourself for being autistic
i dont hate myself, that is too strong of a word, but you are probably even right, because im on the edge of being a asperger.
That term is no longer medically accurate as of 2013 and generally is considered hate speech now. That's a term created by Nazis and was used as a method to categorize people as lesser.
It's the autism equivalent of calling someone the n word. Tho with less societal backlash. Sends most people still consider mental illness to not be something that you should be ashamed to make fun of or demean someone for.
And unlike the n-word, there isn't an entire culture built around trying to normalize the word.
Let's stop being Nazis okay, we don't need to use Nazi's words or their philosophies. We're better than them. We have more accurate terminology, a better understanding of the world, a better understanding of mental and physical health.
So we can be better people. We do not need to be Nazis.
All this said is someone who was diagnosed with Asperger's was institutionalized and removed from my parents because of it. Let's stop using Nazi words for f***** sake
Plenty of people who were diagnosed, or just grew up, before ASD replaced Asperger's as the preferred nomenclature don't see themselves as in the same bucket as someone who is nonverbal or otherwise severely impacted.
