Being embarrassed by things you did in the past is good though, it is a sign you've learned and grown. Usually.
But like.... repeatedly beating yourself up over it everytime your brain starts to wander on its own and ruining your day is less good.
this is true, and if telling yourself you are better than you used to be is either not helpful or not true, thats def a problem :(
feeling a little embarrased is ok, crippling anxiety not so much!
Not really. If you've learned and grown, then there's no reason to revisit it.
its not necessarily revisiting just because you feel. if you forget history you are more likely to repeat it. it would be far worse if you did things and had no shame at all. embarrassment for things you did is like your brain saying "remember to avoid this situation, we don't want that again!"
