Few passengers are told they can opt out, and when they do, airport staff may push back

I've never received pushback for opting out, but the screeners are often surprised.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before it's not optional, since no one else seems to care, but I'm going to keep opting out for as long as I can.

I didn't realize you could opt out the 1st time I flew when it was implemented. After that, I was like, welp, they already have it now.
