The input might be fine, but there's clearly blown capacitors or the VRU is busted in the camera. Take the shell off the outside and look around where the power input is, and I bet you see popped capacitor caps or burnt wiring.
Probably somebody plugged the wrong power supply into it at some point.
I figured that was probably the case. One of the batteries that came with it doesn't match the models it supports. Didn't want to take the whole thing apart without a second opinion though
