I’m not an apple fanboy as I think it’s stupid to be a fan of a certain brand. What I can say is that the difference between two generations of iPhones is meaningless - at least for us as we keep them within the family for years and years. I use mine 3-4 years, then it will be used by my parents for another two and afterwards it gets passed on to nieces and nephews. So the iPhones we update to ar at least 3-4 years newer, meaning the value is there considering the longevity. Also the family tech support is so much easier because the UI is basically the same everywhere.

Most big Android manufacturers are promising 7 years of updates these days. And honestly both UI's are slowly converging from what I've seen. So like, not really?

And that’s great! But this wasn’t the case when we moved as a family to iOS and I can’t really make the older members of my family learn something new when what we have actually just works. I don’t mean to say iPhones are better than android devices, but that there are use cases for either of them.
