7. No duplicate posts.


If a source you used was already posted by someone else, the autoMod will leave a message. Please remove your post if the autoMod is correct. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.


8. Misinformation is prohibited.


Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.


9. No link shorteners.


The auto mod will contact you if a link shortener is detected, please delete your post if they are right.


10. Don't copy entire article in your post body


For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Trusting any information provided by the Israeli government is a mistake. Whether it's higher or lower than the number listed, I wouldn't trust them to tell me the number of finger on their hands

Absolutely, but in this case it's likely that (and I think I've seen reporting that) they're undercounting the casualties. Also note that there are names and this is public information; for this information to be fake they'd need to fake the soldiers' deaths and that'd be over the top even tor Israel.

They claim 454 dead in combat in almost 2 years, so a bit less than 1 per day.
Having looked closer, this years data also includes:

  • 2 combat death in the west bank
  • 2 non combat death in the west bank
  • 1 vehicle accidents near gaza
  • 1 vehicle accidents in the golan heights
  • 1 blown up at home by iran

There are 85 combat death in 211 days. There is no information what combat death are friendly fire.
