Still Reading The Sunlit Man by Brandon Sanderson. His fourth and final standalone Cosmere "secret project" novel.

About halfway through, not much more to add.

Magnificat, the last novel in the series, from Julian May. I first started reading the series in 1987, and had to wait for the sequels to come out.
