Rules (interactive)

Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.

All posts must be legitimate questions, and all post titles must include a question. Questions that are joke or trolling questions, memes, song lyrics as title, etc. are not allowed here. See Rule 6 for all exceptions.

Rule 2- Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material.

Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here. This includes using AI responses and summaries.

They keep playing that clip of his caddy dropping a ball, and making fun of how he tried to do it slyly but it was obvious.

I just saw it again on Colbert, and I legitimately think the caddy is only trying to fool trump.

trump is 100% the guy to blame caddies if he fucks up, so the only caddies he likes are ones that can trick him into thinking he's great. No one he's playing with would ever call it out.

The only person they need to fool out there, is trump...

He legitimately might think he's really a generational golfer. For the same reason every billionaire legit thinks they're a genius.

I read an article years ago where the author played golf with him. The cheating was blatant and obvious, but not malicious. Cheating was a given. Trump expected everyone to cheat, and to not do so was foolish. Anyone who didn't cheat was a chump.

This is literally the motto of our entire existence "lately."

"The only way to get ahead is to be a massive piece of shit. It's stupid to not be a piece of shit. There are no consequences when you succeed."

Relax guy, that's completely normal.

Every empire goes thru the same thing right before collapse. Rules don't matter unless caught, and even if you followed the rules you might be "caught".

So the norm for acceptable behavior becomes "anything that didn't have immediate consequences".

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 10 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Why should I be ok with this?

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 6 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (1 children)

That's kind of the joke...

Everyone is acting like it's normal that we're running down the same checklist as the USSR did, it ain't slow, it started before trump ever thought of running for president

Quick edit:

I know "the /s is always needed", but I've never once heard "relax guy" used non sarcastically so thought it would be cool

[–] Asafum@feddit.nl 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Ahhh sorry, I was a little dense. If I see relax guy it's usually used condescendingly so it kinda put me on edge and the rest didn't register as actual sarcasm. As they say, telling someone to relax often has the opposite effect lol

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago

Oh yeah, it's very much like "calm down" as in it always does the opposite

I blame South Park, they had trump saying it constantly last week:

Yeah, and you know what happens to the chumps when empires collapse, right.?

But don't worry about THAT now...

Imo. golf is the sport where it is the most absurd. It is made up so rich people can stand together, many meters away from anyone else to make shady deals. The entire game is just a McGuffin.

[–] the_q@lemmy.zip 6 points 4 days ago

You hit a nerve with golf enjoyers... With your spot on description of the seedy nature of the dumbest "sport" on the planet.

I liked the comment someone else made with several articles referencing trumps history of cheating in golf. My favorite quote from those excerpts has to be the one where hes cheating and the guy they're playing with puts the ball back before putting and trump goes "he put it back, thats why hes an unemployed coach and I'm worth billions" so yeah, unironically thinks not-cheating is pussy shit lmao

Look at this guy! He's playing where it lies. What a fucking loser!
