  • on !sumo@lemmy.world, the 15-day tournament (which occurs every 2 months) just finished on sunday. during the last tourney two months ago, I posted every day, providing a fight pic and links. but this time on day 1 I made a post but explained that I was not going to be able to post every day bc of my schedule. And I'm happy to say that 3 other people made posts during the tourney. which for a niche sub is a lot. so that was kinda neat. I think next tourney I'm just gonna post on the first day, last day, and mid-tourney day, and suggest other folks post on other days if they wanna.
  • !gothindustrial@lemmy.world is now officially about "goth industrial" and not just "goth industrial MUSIC". well, mostly the mods just changed the descriptor, a couple months ago they'd already decided to make it more general, and I've been posting "dark" cartoons for a while. I kinda wanna start trying to make memes for the community... I made a bunch for the monsterdon watch party on mastodon, so donno why I haven't made as many here... I think bc I've mostly been listening to bandcamp tracks which mostly don't have videos... I should probably study existing memes tho...
  • on !bmoviebonanza@lemmy.world @klu9@piefed.social did a "shark week" thing, posting multiple reviews of shark-related b-movies. It's a pretty good example of using an "event" to come up with a bunch of posts that also welcome other folks to participate in.
