The last day of the tourney just wrapped up a couple hours ago in Japan! Here's how you can see what just happened:
Video Clips:
-
youtuber DonDon posts the "best 10" matches listed in English with replays including on-screen English analysis; those are listed here: https://www.youtube.com/@dondonsumo2/videos
-
NHK immediately posts clips with Japanese commentary listed in Japanese - look here: https://www.nhk.jp/p/ts/Z8WRRJ9K96/blog/bl/p781bLebx4/list/ Automated translations work well enough here to find the right day, otherwise look for something like: 7月14日 which in this case refers to the 7th month and the 14th day (July 14th). Automated translation doesn't work that well on sumotori names, but this is a great opportunity to learn them by sight!
-
JSA immediately posts the highest-ranked 10+ matches listed in Japanese with no commentary, here: https://www.youtube.com/@sumo-video/videos

SPOILERS OK IN COMMENTS!!?!!
Congratulations to Hiradoumi for getting his kachikoshi on the last day!!!
And of course... Major congratulations to
Kotoshoho for coming out of nowhere to get the yusho!!!
Almost as amazing and unexpected as Tokushoryu's yusho from M17 in 2020.
That last fight against Aonishiki was both anticlimactic and a great demonstration of his abilities. It was only a matter of time before people started to "figure him out" and now Aonishiki needs to adapt.
Also good to see Onosato winning on the last day... he didn't have a shot at the yusho, but at least he's in the runner-up group.
Tamawashi showing that longevity again.
Plus, Takayasu's bout was the best of the day. He always starts off looking kinda bored, then he immediately looks like he's out to kill.
