The hate all makes sense when you realize three things:
They believe LGBT is immoral.
They believe LGBT is a choice.
They believe straight people can be converted.
Not about to write an essay on how stupid each of those points are, but that's why their hate is internally consistent.
I turned my best friend away from homophobia with this: "Fine. It's a choice. Remember when you were a horny teenager? You'd fuck about thing you could get your dick in, right? So tell me about how you made the choice to go after women."
LOL, I utterly corrupted that motherfucker! Went from a Southern Baptist conservative to a liberal atheist.
