my finds at the beach today
a very old piece of iridescent glass, a pink murex, a top shell, a frilled venus shell and a vertebrate of I don't know what
I had no idea there was so much variety in the bay.
the bay is pretty cool 😊
So I did some closer looking at the glass and some reading.
It's dark olive glass made with iron slag, it's a shard from a mouth blown bottle and it's very thick, the glass has bubbles in it, the iridescence is from being in a being in a dump for 150 years and it was washed out in the recent storms. In America this kind of glass is called Pirate Glass. 🏴☠️🍾
and the vertebrate is a shark vertebrate . Cool. 🦈
