I want to thank everyone for the insightful, thoughtful and very personal responses that were shared to my comment yesterday evening. Reading through that thread again this morning I'm deeply touched, and once again so happy to be part of a group of people who are so sharing of their knowledge and experience. Thankyou very, very much 🥹

What I found fascinating was the amount of ladies on here that didn't necessarily fit into the mould of girly girl shit. My people. Girl power.

I saw that too. We have a nice little corner of the internet here, all a little bit weird but full of support.

I feel like these days there's more peer pressure to fit into a mould younger and younger and to like and have opinions about things that they might not necessarily have thought about yet.

It's good to validate mini peelers feelings but remember she's very young and her feelings may change as time goes on. Hug her and tell her you love her no matter what and she can come to you no matter what.

Ps. You're the listener. Don't ask too many questions.

I can't comment from a parent perspective, but have a friend who is proud to claim what they call a'full set' a cis child, a trans one, and an enby. From knowing many people with interesting gender stories the earlier the better, ultimately it's not about you. Hugs.

It might take some time. I’m sorry I didn’t get around to saying something about it.

It also takes a bit of confidence and not have an idea stuck in your head that it has to be that way.

I hope your little one will realise that she can be herself one day without worrying about other people.
