Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
The rules are simple:
- The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author's website, for instance).
- The comic must be a complete story.
- If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
- You may post comics from others or your own.
- If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
- The comic can be in any language, but if it's not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post's 'body' field (note: you don't need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
- Politeness.
- Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.

Catholics, christians, atheism, veganism.
It's all the same to me. If they don't leave any room to speculate, learn, and grow beyond existing beliefs what's the point of living. ๐ค
If only those people who don't already have a religious affiliation weren't so closed-minded, they might be able to adhere to a specific religious affiliation. If only those vegans were able to grow as people, they might just learn a thing or two about being okay with animal torture
What's the point of living if you can't find purpose and there's no real truth
That there's no objective purpose to life doesn't mean you can't find your own. Personally, I find purpose in enjoying my life and improving the lives of others. Doesn't matter that there isn't some grand design, I like what I'm doing.
But that might not matter in the end
It matters to me
But you'll just be dust someday
We're not dust yet. There is no reason why our eventual death and non-existence should preclude us finding meaning in our present existence.
Why delay the inevitable
Why not? It's coming anyway, no need to hurry it along. There are things to do while you wait.
Like think about how you can die at any moment
I guess there isn't a point given to you by someone/something else, but you're free to pick one of your own if you want. Or not. Ultimately we just have our evolved desire to survive and see our loved ones do well.
I'd rather pick what is actually true
What's that?
That there is one Lord- Jesus of Nazareth, commonly called the Christ, who was born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty. He will return in glory to judge both the living and the dead, and His kingdom will have no end.
ah I see. I misunderstood - when you said "Iโd rather pick what is actually true", you meant you'd pick a story you like and call it truth. Yes that's also an option, why not.
I'm convinced from the historical evidence that Jesus actually rose from the dead
I'm convinced from the evidence that God doesn't care what we believe. If there even is such a thing, and I don't think it's possible to meaningfully answer that, there are many better ways to communicate vital information to people on earth other than choosing someone to relay your messages in a way that is indistinguishable from a mentally ill person who just hears voices in their head.
What better ways to communicate exist?
Seems like there's a lot of ways, no? A talking immortal dog, just off the top of my head. That would be hard to counter, especially after the first 500 years and it's still there, spouting the word of god in any language you like.
People would just come up with a scientific explanation for that immortal dog, if they hadn't locked it away in the middle of nowhere already
Why would they do that lol
People would be in awe of this creature. It's speaking the perfect word of god, understandable to all. It cannot be killed and clearly defies all scientific understanding of our modern age. (This thing would pre-date the birth of true science though and more than likely prevent science even coming to be - there would be no need of science or any kind of human progress if we had an indisputable communication channel with god such as this)
I can't help but chuckle at the puny god that you seem to believe in though. God - if it exists and I genuinely believe that question is unanswerable - would be an entity outside time and space way beyond the tiniest comprehension of any human. It would have absolute power over every aspect of the universe. Protecting a dog from any number of humans with any type of weaponry would be such a trivial task for such a being. If the dog didn't want to be moved, it wouldn't move. If it wanted to pass through a wall it would pass though like a red hot ball bearing through butter.
God is beyond absurd things such as leaving behind dogs. Look at the sky at night if there's no light pollution. There you can see a glimpse of God's glory and power
yeah well when you're ready to join us in the 21st century, we'll be here waiting. until then have fun with your stone age incomprehension of the heavens and self-aggrandizing tales of fabulous rewards after death.
