pet lossMy aunt got Geoffrey the dog and brought him over almost everyday. He is the reason why we got our dog. He would be so excited to see us when got home and run to the door before we got our semi-territorial dog. He got diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma at the beginning of this year. He's only eight. It started with a few purple lumps and the vet removed them thinking everything was fine. But he also had a fuck ton of tumours inside his body. My aunt has been wanting to do everything she can to improve his quality of life, and he's done the maximum amount of the specific chemo that made the past few months a bit better for him. She feels guilty that she couldn't save him. But this cancer doesn't have a known cure.

We think it's his time to go now, and he's not going to make it over the next few days. He's a tiny bit excited to go for walks and play fetch, but he's not eating and is weak.

He loved playing fetch and would always sneak balls in the house. We would roll the ball to him and he'd always roll it back. He was incredibly obedient, to the point where if he heard one of us say sit in a conversation, he would sit. He was an excellent companion to all of us.

Iโ€™m so sorry. Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking, especially if you have to make the decision. Hope you can have a last snuggle before the time comes.
