The Grain Belt Express is over a decade in the making and would bring huge amounts of cheap wind and solar from the plains to the East. Its future is now murky.

Republicans and their corporate owners are much more interested in extracting cash out of the system than creating a healthy and well functioning system.

They also want to make sure the government doesn't work well so the private sector doesn't have to compete by creating better functioning products and systems... That would mean more expenditures instead of stock buybacks.

They don't give a shit about American competitiveness and well being. They sold the US competitiveness in the 90's to China in exchange for cheaper labor.
