Do you blame them or the idiot audience? It’s a chicken and egg problem, but I find the masses often have more power than the individual and when an individual commands a lot of attention doing stupid shit I blame the audience not the smart idiot who capitalizes on the audience’s stupidity.

Like go ahead, try to make a smart podcast and see where that gets you.
