About halfway through the interviewer asks

You write that “different currents within critical ecology and ecosocialism give very different answers to what should be the central coordinates guiding the organisation of post-capitalist societies.” What are these main currents?

I thought the whole interview, and particularly the response to this question, might be interesting to some folks here.

Yeah I almost wanted to put a disclaimer about the title seeming misleadingly combative vs the content but couldn’t think of the right wording.

From my perspective, the interview isn’t really comparing and contrasting distinct movements, just interfacing with some of the problems and perspectives that often dominate discussions that use this or that framework and considering what might be overlooked by taking one perspective or the other. You can see from this extremely clear comment why I waffled on including a disclaimer!

I thought the author did a good job coalescing together important aspects that are often treated individually.
