I can sort of sympathize with the woman's rage since this was an intersection where the other driver should have stopped perhaps and tried to save the chicken. But she shouldn't have assaulted the other driver...
Much worse was this story
When i made my drivers license i learned that you're not supposed to stop for animals because it's dangerous. And i totally get the point, if you swerve around and hit someone or drive off a cliff, it's not very smart. But if you just stop, whoever drives behind you has to be ready. Hell that's even how insurance work, if you rear end someone, it's your fault because you were driving too close.
A friend of mine one got his car totaled becasue a truck in front of him lost his whole ass transmission or something. And at the end it wasn't the guys fault who scattered part of his car, it was his fault for not being able to react in time.
