I've been to many ren fests, and I can say that no one cares what you're dressed as, as long as it looks dope. I once saw a man in a weird mechanical raven-man outfit, giving small colored rocks to children. I've also seen Jesus there many times.
My favorite ren fair photo is one with a star trek away team investigating the primitive civilisation.
