Why were and are african americans called the N word? Where did it begin and did someone just come up with it on the fly or something? I mean why not call people Daisy Tulips instead the n word? (lemmy.world)

So the meaning of the word is a shiftless individual... essentially lazy. Old plantation owners would call their slaves that because I guess the racist ass plantation owners couldn't figure out why slaves are not invested in killing themselves to only benefit the plantation owner.
