Rules
- Any drama must be posted as an observer, you cannot post drama that you are involved with.
- When posting screenshots of drama, you must obscure the identity of all the participants.
- The poster must have a credible post and comment history before submitting a piece of history. This is to avoid sock-puppetry and witch hunts.
The usual instance-wide rules also apply.
Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)
Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.
Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc
(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

I'm banned from 11 communities on blahaj instance and 2 communities on feddit instance so I can't comment or vote on stuff there but I also don't see media posts made by users from those instances on other communities.
Reason for bans were vague, no particular comments or posts of mine was pointed out, and I've got no response when I asked for clarification.
Blahaj is probably blocked in your country, mine and another friend has the same issue. Feddit blocks large swathes of Asia and maybe some other parts of the world sadly, but the admin told me they'll fix it... Soon.
That's not it. The people who banned me are instance admins.
I meant the fact about media being broken, that would only happen if those instances are blocked/blocking you, banning cant do that at all. Otherwise I have no clue.
Bruh. The users are from feddit instance but the community they're posting on is world instance.
And I can see the media when I open it in a browser without logging in.
It doesn't work like that, even if the post is on another instance the media itself is hosted on the users' instance. For example if a feddit.org user posted to a dbzer0 community I wouldn't be able to see it, since the image itself is hosted on feddit.org.
There's a fix for this called image proxying, which a few instances like Lemmy.zip for example enable, but Lemmy.world doesn't do this.
Then I have no idea what's going on, sorry.
Damn this fediverse thing is complicated.
Yeah it's thumbnail getting cached to world instance. Silly me.
And none of this matters yet because I'm still permanently banned from multiple communities without those mods telling me which comments or posts of mine are responsible for those bans. 🤷♂️
i avoud controversial communities mostly for that very reason, like on reddit you can get misconstrued response and then get banned, barring if you actually said something very offensive.
