You aren't doing anyone any favours by pleading misleading information. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that it was just a mistake and not deliberately misleading.
Generating ELECTRICITY from renewables, even 100%, has little to nothing to do with cutting emissions. Electricity is a fraction of a country's total energy mix.
Using your example of Spain who is a leader in renewables is still getting about

About 66% of total energy from fossil fuels. Their oil refining is up 3% this year.
For what it's worth, I consider Europe a leader in emissions reductions. My comments are more about debunking misleading statements such as yours and to help people recognize how far we have to go and how little time there is.
