Whether it be electronics, automobiles or medical equipment, the manufacturers should not be able to horde โ€œoemโ€ parts, render your stuff useless if you repair it with aftermarket parts, or hide schematics of their products.

Hopefully, the bounty gets claimed, AND EU law burries this shitheel company for such an absurd rug-pull. The devices demonstrably require nothing that would require on-going expense on their part, and without that, there is no excuse for them to charge any subscription fees.

When buying isn't owning, piracy and hacking are not theft. In this case, the company should be liable for effectively stealing existing owners' devices, and owe them all full refunds + damages.
