I’m bored. What’s happening?

[–] Bottom_racer@aussie.zone 9 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Just burning a kranksy w/ chillies on top, inside with a weed burner.

Chef R.J. MacReady over here

Been a while since I had a Kransky, its now on the shopping list.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago

I think I might need to add that to mine too.

I used my rice cooker to make coconut rice for the first time and I’m sitting here wondering why I’ve never done this before.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Is it a full replacement of water with coconut milk or a blend?

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 5 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago) (1 children)

Full replacement, but I used light coconut milk. Don’t think it would have worked full with regular. It’s delicious.

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I might have to try that sometime with my rice cooker though recently I got the water ratio wrong.

Do you use the same amount of coconut milk as you would water?

[–] tone212_@aussie.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Yeah the same amount of liquid, I had enough to fill the amount I was cooking. Light is watered down already, for regular I’d use maybe 1/3 water.

Waiting for a phonecall.

Passing the time by playing a video game.

Then dinner!

Also keeping warm with blanky.

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Hopefully all well with the phone call!

[–] Duenan@aussie.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago

All’s good with phone call.

Was waiting for someone very dear to me.

I'm listening to a boring podcast about life in Soviet Era Ukraine.

[–] TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

There's a delightfully unhinged novel called A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian by Marina Lewycka that I think you would enjoy very much. If you haven't found it already that is. A best seller in its day and stands the test of time. Does not noticeably contain tractors.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

omg, I have that on audiobook. 😬 Not listened to it yet

[–] TheWitchofThornbury@aussie.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Enjoy! I loved the ending - it just fit so well.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago

I'll have to find it, I think it's on my itunes account 😊

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I believe it was quite harsh.

[–] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 3 weeks ago

I wouldn't want to be a farm worker.

Mystery and adventure….somewhere

[–] SituationCake@aussie.zone 1 points 3 weeks ago

Not at my place either!

Just watched the 1st ep of Midnight Mass, which looks very lush and suitably scary
