Good reviews, but not great. A lot of people seem to think that with a few quality of life updates that it could be much better.

Shadow Labyrinth is a 2D action platformer and a genre-twisting alternate take on the iconic PAC-MAN. As The Swordsman, you wake on a mysterious planet amidst relics of wars past. To survive you will discover secrets, consume your enemies, and grow from prey to apex predator.

About 10 hours in and it is great. There's nods to original Pac Man play incorporated into the platforming and a guest appearance from at least one other 80s arcade classic that I have encountered.

If you like metroidvanias it is a very good addition to the genre on its own, then add Pac Man's darkest sci-fi timeline on top.

Highly recommended.
