I see this from handful of people who are either immigrants or part of traditionally marginalised backgrounds. It's stupid and pathetic, it reeks of desperation, and you are not going to be spared because bigots don't care.

Black man here. It’s fucking exhausting trying to warn other groups and then them shitting on you because they are that close to the holy grail of whiteness.

Then, they receive a reality check and then also cry to black folk, why aren’t you helping us?

I don't know, you can't convince them all. I feel like it's an act of desperate self-preservation, if not internalised oppression, for these simps. They're confused and don't know what to do. I am glad I immigrated to Ireland where the people are welcoming and the Irish themselves suffered from historical discrimination so they know what it's like. However, the wind is slowly changing, and the formerly fringe far right is gaining some momentum here. I am hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. I think that's what anyone from minority groups could do, instead of playing respectability politics, which only feeds more the monsters that the simps are trying to avoid.

Or better yet, we should organise class-conscious movements that transcends race, religion and gender. Because much of the far right populism experiencing across the world stems from decade long austerity. The "scarce" resources that people are fighting on is artificially induced by capital owners and their bought politicians. Immigrants are not making housing more expensive, politicians and corporations just don't want to build more houses. Immigrants are not driving down wages, the elites just don't want to raise federal wages. The government is not in debt, politicians just don't want to raise the taxes of their rich donors.
