My apologies for spamming questions. Oz is just enough different from the US to make the transition a bit complex.

We managed to score a rental in Mcdowall.

Looking at the plethora of providers.

Are there any providers to be avoided at all costs? Providers that are totally awesome?

I’d prefer to have the highest speeds possible, and the NBN thing says the place we will be renting has the hybrid fiber coaxial connection available.

Leaptel is my ISP of choice. Currently on 500/200 because I run services that need the upload. Here's a referral code if you choose to use them which gives me money (also you, but more importantly me) --> https://leaptel.com.au/?referral=1000451366

Exetel has a great deal going at the minute - $80/month for 500/50. It comes with some caveats about CGNAT and what not, but for normal internet use that price point cant be beat --> https://www.exetel.com.au/
