I'm not sure I'd call it a "win" necessarily. After seeing it mentioned in a thread a couple weeks ago I switched from Gboard to FUTO Keyboard. Except I friggin hate it, it's swipe typing is SOOO bad. Everything takes ten times longer now because i have to go back and fix every other word multiple times. Win for my privacy, loss for my ability to type things, I guess. If anyone has another swipe capable keyboard that respects privacy, I'm open to suggestions.

Looks like the latest release was 5 months ago. I'll check it out, thanks!

So I tried it but have since uninstalled and unfortunately gone back to Gboard for now. It was fine for what it was, but it doesn't support swipe (or "glide typing," as they called it) which is a dealbreaker for be. It is mentioned in the settings page, it reads to me like it was there before and they took it out and plan to reimplement it later (v0.7+, according to the roadmap on GitHub). So I'll keep this in mind for the future and hope to come back to it when they've added it back in.

Aw, that's a shame. My version from FDroid (or one of its repositories) still has swiping. I'm not sure if I have the latest one or not.
