Tangential, but in my steam library, there is a single anime game, a free bullet hell that I pretty quickly realized was both too difficult and annoying for me. The main character’s voice was so piercingly shrill that I had to mute all voices to survive using a super move without experiencing an aneurysm.

Now my recommendations are all hentai jigsaw puzzles, and I don’t even particularly like jigsaw puzzles or hentai. Steam doesn’t seem like the sort of company to abandon porn, if that was all it took to get them to advertise it to me.

There's a setting in your store preferences to hide those games. It distinguishes between "there's sometimes nudity" and "porn game" even. 1000038244

I feel ridiculous for not remembering this. I set everything to visible because I expected some pornographic masterpiece of gameplay to somehow fall in my lap like 10 years ago. Thank you, now I can browse steam in public.

That was Monster Girl Quest for me...

It's a visual novel with turn-based combat, so the gameplay's eh, but story-wise it's phenomenal.
