What's your opinion: should every hero be able to have gun or spirit build? (feddit.org)

I saw some comments elsewhere that complained that every hero is now able to be gun focused.

And I thought: Duh!

For me the balancing goal would be that every hero has the potential to be used for gun or spirit, but with difference in range (melee, close, far), duration (spike, continued) and CC/escape abilities.

Therefore I found it bad that before only certain characters were seen as worth being used for a gun / spirit build and now it's up to the match, team composition and enemy team behaviour and you can react accordingly.

If you belong to the other faction, can you explain your reasoning to me, so I can understand it?

No exactly this.

I don't want there to be any one meta build. You take your build in whatever direction the match demands.
