If the club have that kind of money to splash on Chelsea rejects I can't see why they couldn't afford Sesko.

Been thinking about this a bit and I wonder if it was just a case that the club thought they had better bargaining power with a Gyökeres deal since the player is also pushing through the move.

Whereas Sesko may end up demanding a much higher fee, meaning less funds to contribute to other transfers.

I obviously have no idea, but it's what made sense to me. Also considering the fact that the stumbling block for the Gyökores deal seems to be over an extra 4m up front, at least according to reports.

Yeah that's what's bothering me about the whole thing. £50m for a Chelsea reject is too much eventhough it isn't my money. There's only so much trusting the process I can take. It's time and time again Chelsea.
