I'm gonna guess that the dome itself is more like a pool floaty, as in there's an air gap between the outside wall and the inside wall which is inflated to give it structure. Then, the air under the dome is pumped out with fresh air pumped in at a rate that creates a negative pressure under the dome.
That must be a lot harder than a regular inflated dome. Impressive that it works
