A day after President Trump declared that Iran’s nuclear program had been “completely and totally obliterated” by American bunker-busting bombs and a barrage of missiles, the actual state of the program seemed far more murky, with senior officials conceding they did not know the fate of Iran’s stockpile of near-bomb-grade uranium.

I assume that both Israel and the USA were watching Iran's nuclear facilities very closely in the days before the attack, and therefore that the officials who do have access to classified information and don't talk to newspapers about it know a lot more than what the public is told.

"I bet the lying liars who lie all the time about everything, from the utterly mundane to the holy, are being completely truthful about the thing I want to be true."

Betting on the truthfulness of a felonious conman with literally over 30,000 confirmed lies from just his first term alone is likely not a good choice.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, because I'm not trusting any claims that anyone is publicly making. I think the information that the USA actually has about the status of the stockpile is currently classified and thus what we're hearing is either empty boasting or uninformed speculation.

I suppose that in the coming days we might see evidence that the stockpile really was buried under rubble (and therefore that Trump was telling the truth) but if it wasn't then I'm sure the USA doesn't want to tell Iran what the USA actually does or doesn't know about its new hiding place.
