Facebook might be going away, but it's other platforms?
Instagram is as strong as ever, WhatsApp is the default communication app for a lot of people and basically replaced SMS for a lot of countries... and the metaverse (that one was dead on arrival though).
Facebook itself is on life support of those local groups and Amazon marketplace (practically modern Craigslists). but saying it's dying is an exaggeration.
on top of that, they can set the industry standard, so if Facebook allows hate speech with no consequences, and it increases engagement, all other social media will do so.
