Fediverse vs Disinformation

1566 readers

Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.

Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.

What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.

By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

If they love them so much why don't they just marry them

If being happy is an option, then you won't readily acquiesce to suffering. The real reason conservatives hate non married, non cis, non straight, child free, educated, metropolitan, singing, dancing, laughing, people people is that they are themselves deeply sad, and the prospect of alternatives is an affront to their chosen salf made prison. They're like attack dogs that have been abused and riled up, and the GOP is like the junkyard owners that uses their misguided, misdirected, focussless rage to protect their kingdom of shit. Who are themselves trapped within the confines of a hollow parody of reality, which they must defend at all costs or face the consequences of ontological collapse.
