Just don't! Oat is perfect the way it is. DNA isn't to be edited. If some thing's no longer will grow, nature is telling us something is off/has changed.

I also believe our cells process the original DNA, but now that is modified what does it do to our cells? Cancer?

Now i'm depressed ..... It could be read as that we introduced cancer to oats
