Hi, I'm a bystander. Can you explain why the trailing "..." is dismissive, or what it even means in the context of text based discussions?
I've seen it before but I've never known what to make of it. Thanks!
I assume it could feel equivalent to a rhetorical pause that implies that should know better or something along those lines, which can feel dismissive. It's not always dismissive to use ... though
