Parkinson's is caused by Lewey Bodies, but you have to get a spinal tap to test for them. Also, just because you have Lewey Bodies, doesn't necessarily mean you will get dementia.
Perusing the article, it seems this could be a test to determine, if you are already known to have Parkinson's, if you will develope dementia?
Lewy bodies being present does not mean they are the cause, they could be a symptom of some other causal factor.
