A place to meme about the glorious ROMAN EMPIRE (and Roman Republic, and Roman Kingdom)! Byzantines tolerated! The HRE is not.

What was the average temperature in Rome? (Or what is it in the summer?) I imagine skirts/shorts would be easier to wear if it's hot.

The average relative humidity is 75%

And that right there is why they wore skirts. Humidity kills. Especially if you're going to go into battle with another thousand or few other guys swinging metal around.

Weatherspark is my goto site for yearly averages for a place. It's got average temperature, precipitation, sun/cloud cover, wind and many more statistics.
