I think you underestimate how many people might not have a complete understanding of consent, and just dismissing it outright like this isn't.. as productive as you might think it is

You said people shouldn't rape people who are likely to kill their rapist, and someone replied that people shouldn't rape anyone period and they even said they weren't trying to be pedantic. I think you're looking too far into this. They weren't necessarily scolding you. Could've just been a joke. Same thing here. Someone is just politely replying and discussing. They're not attacking you.
I just don't care. If you read the whole thing, somebody said, "Does anything in the title relate to the crime?" or something to the gist. I said, "No." summed up the high points, and then said, "Unless it's related to, 'Don't rape someone ex military or sometimes they'll blow your brains out.'"
It wasn't necessary to provide a lecture about what rape is. It wasn't relevant. This website is so full of pedantic dickheads, I'm frankly amazed reddit has any left.
