Sometimes I think United actively makes successful people worse. Several players and managers have been unable to reach previous levels of success while at United only to bounce back (with varying levels of success) after moving to different clubs.
We'll see how ten Hag will fare. On the plus side he apparently speaks German rather well.
The problens ar United start with the Glazers. Even Radcliffe, as bad as he is, is made worse by the impact to the club of the Glazers. Couple that with a club with expectations of a team with one of the largest incomes in football that is in rude financial health vs. one in managed decline with parasites bleeding the club for the past two decades.
