One of the objects is a brown dwarf, which has a much more mass than a typical planet but isn't big enough to be a proper star.

I've always been fascinated by brown dwarfs. Sometimes in video games I see star systems with multiple stars orbiting quite close together; I always thought that was kind of ridiculous, but not it seems to be entirely possible.
