Looks like a Molex connector but I cannot find what type. The closest I've found have the 'D' and square prongs in the wrong configuration. Does anyone know what type/model connector this is? (From a battery charger for a lawn mower)

That's interesting, I've been doing RC airplanes for 19ish years and have never seen this connector used. What type of RC do you see this used in?

I only know quads (and barely) so I looked into it and it seems that it's popular for RC cars. Makes sense, ground vehicles take a beating so the clip could be helpful and the extra weight matters less

Pretty much exclusively cars. There's a few other types, but tamiya had been using them pretty much since they started afaik.
