Then kids go to college realize the lies of the adults around them. Blah blah blah lib college ruined my kids.

I used to hear that from my dad all the time.

hahaha so accurate. I was born without fingers and grew up as a Jehovah's Witness. They'd tell me I'd have fingers once the "new system" comes along with all this other made up garbage. Parent's divorced around age 13, mom got dis-fellowshipped and shunned. Once I was old enough to take Earth Science and learn about the universe and age of everything. Something finally clicked like, "oh they're all full of shit."

Never looked back. I guess the unfortunate side effect is, I don't believe in anything at all anymore.

That last side effect isn't unfortunate, welcome to atheism. That is, I still believe in things, I believe in science because it's right there, I still believe in some people because I see what they are capable of. I still believe, just not in fairytales

Oh I've been there for 30 or so years now. It is and isn't unfortunate I guess. Just sometimes I feel like a contrarian asshole around people. I usually just have to keep my mouth shut and opinions to myself.
