Anyone tried horse? Is it good meat? I'm not being facetious - wondering if there's any upside for what sounds like the necessary cull of a whole bunch of animals. Or would they be too parasite ridden etc?
I asked an AI. See below.
I would say, in this situation, that the meat is too remote to retrieve.
In Australia, horse meat is not commonly consumed, but there is a horse slaughter industry that exports to European Union countries[2][4]. Horse meat is legal to consume in Australia, but it is not widely available[2]. Horse meat is commonly eaten in many countries in Asia, including Central Asia, where it is still one of the main sources of protein and commonly used to prepare a variety of dishes[3]. In Uzbekistan, horse meat is used to prepare naryn, one of the most popular local foods, while in Kyrgyzstan it is used to make a popular sausage[3]. However, there are regional exceptions, such as Turkmenistan, where horse and pork meat are forbidden due to religious beliefs[3]. The consumption of horse meat is frowned upon in many places throughout the world, and it is taboo in some cultures[2].

Yeah I remember someone saying that we are the largest exporter or horse meat in the world.
Edit: we aren't
