I'm starting to party plan this week I'm thinking I might need to buy some nice new drinking glasses then I look in my cupboard and I discover I really don't but they will need a nice wash.

We don’t own any dishware in this house that can’t go in the dishwasher. Best decision we ever made.

We were gifted a large amount of crystal glassware as engagement/wedding gifts.

There's an entire cupboard dedicated to it. They are used very, very rarely.

Shit is overrated as hell.

Yea my grandparents handed down a shitload of waterford crystal. Never used. Stuff is probably expensive but coffee mug for my goon is more practical.

I think it was a status symbol thing back then. Absolutely pointless stuff.

We have 4 crystal decanters.

I've used two, so I can feel fancy.

Sure they're nice to look at, but pretty large and awkward to use and clean.

They stay hidden

crystal decanters are the best vases for heavy orchid flower stems 👍

Glasses are meant to be used. That's my theory going in. I no longer care.

I agree but we just don't use them. Personally I don't like them and the cupboard they're in requires crouching to access.
