Nice! I've wondered how the show would have turned out with Hunter as the lead. There obviously wouldn't have been movies afterward due to his death, so maybe TNG and the rest of the shows would have never happened. Or maybe he would have been busy with Star Trek and wouldn't have had time for the movie where the accident happened. Too many what ifs!
Hard to say, but if he had become the lead, then we'd have missed... out... on... Shatner... as... Kirk. ;)
That... would have been... a great... loss... for all of us. ;)
I do think Shatner did very good in the role, and although I've noticed the more deliberate way he delivered his lines, it never bothered me.
