It's scary and gross how the same issue keeps coming back, frequently and in enough places that we can easily confuse one case for another.

Just yesterday I learned about Hardy Billington, a rep in Missouri. The topic article of the thread mentioned him being in favor of child marriage in April 2025, which made it confusing when I checked his Wikipedia page and saw that the only notable thing on it was when he endorced child marriage last year, in 2024. At first I thought it was about the recent bill, but no - this 70+ year old man really wants underage girls to be able to marry.

Point is, you can be forgiven for confusing similar events. The pedophiles are frickin' everywhere. 😟
