He will use this to stack the agency the way he stacked the courts. He'll turn all the three letter agencies into his personal Stasi.

Were the Stasi involved in any coups? I don't know. If they weren't and if their violence was merely towards domestic enemies, then this is at least unintentional harm reduction by the Trump administration.
